![]() Keep trying and have some patience he's not the quickest at getting back with people. ![]() I've purchased a few 48 parts from him, talked with him about 48's, searched his other auctions & after visiting his "shop" I can't imagine that there is anyone around that knows more about Rem 48's than he. My thoughts I would bet that most regular (not LT's or Special's) 20ga Rem stocks, even the modern ones, would fit the 16ga 48.Īlso try contacting this guy through the "ask the seller a question" link on the auction and ask if he would know. Don't know for sure but I'd put some money on it. I think you can assume that the modern 16ga stocks are of the larger 12ga dim's. When making a custom stock for one of my 16ga 48's from an 11-48 12ga stock it needed to be trimmed a bit at the receiver to match up.Īfter reading about how some folks think that Rem "messed up" when they launched the new 16ga shotguns and how they are "basically 12ga's with smaller holes in the barrel". I also have an Rem butt stock from a 12ga 1100/870 that is 0.050" +/- larger than the 16ga 48's. It's stock dimensions at the receiver are 0.050" +/- smaller than my 16ga 11-48's dim's in both directions. My Rem LT-20 Special which is a light weight 20ga 1100. This should murky the water up for you.LOL
